We were once again walking around the suburb of Fitzroy one weekend and this time, we came across another Asian eatery called the Saigon Street Vietnamese Restaurant along Johnston Street. Thoughts of tucking in to a good bowl of pho enticed us though the door.

It was lunch time when we stepped in and were warmly greeted by counter staff. After a quick browse through the menu, we decided on a big bowl of pho with poached chicken and quail eggs and a Set Lunchbox A.
The pho noodles was the first item on our table and the portion was huge! The chicken pieces were tender and tasty broth put us in a great mood to tackle the banh mi that came soon after.
There were pieces of chilli inside the sandwich which made our tongues tingle with each bite. Spring rolls were also part of the set and we could tell they were freshly fried and very crispy. There was a also a small cup of beef pho provided as well.
In all, we enjoyed the meal that day and would not hesitate to revisit to taste the other items on the menu.
