About Roraima Nursery

Roraima Nursery specialise in unusual, exotic, drought-tolerant and architectural plants. They also offer a large variety of natives, perennials, ferns, palms, bottle trees, and one of the largest selections of cacti and succulents in Victoria.

Besides their amazing selection of unusual plants for sale, they also offer free entry to their stunning display gardens which are set within two acres. If you’d like to, you can make a gold coin donation which goes towards the upkeep of the gardens.

At Roraima Nursery

As there is a lot to take in visually at Roraima Nursery, you may be tempted to get some drinks and snacks while you are there, so that you can extend your visit to their gardens.

There is an on-site cafe, known as Flame Tree Café, which operates from the main carpark. Barista coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cold drinks and snacks are available, and there’s outdoor seating in the shade of Illawarra Flame Trees, or undercover in the adjacent bush shelter. Toilet facilities are available as well.

Be aware that there are mozzies but there is free use of their insect repellent spray which is placed near their sales counter.

If you’re a dog owner, you’ll be pleased to note that dogs are welcome provided that they are on leashes.

There are benches placed strategically within the display gardens, which also boast of metal sculptures and a little pond.

Parts of the display garden are shady which is helpful on a hot day. However it can be a little humid in some parts of nursery, which explains why their air plants are thriving!

Since a picture paints a thousand words, here’s a selection of photos to entice you to make a trip down to Lara!
